Din Teknik: "Tasteful luxury"

A pile of home theatre PCs came together for a group test in the Swedish lifestyle magazine Din Teknik. No doubt the Shuttle Media Center M 2000M couldnt miss this test, but convinced the editors with "two TV tuner cards", "exclusive accessories" and "pretty looks."

The usage of the Shuttle Media Center M 2000M becomes obvious quickly. "This Shuttle PC is dedicated to sit below your TV," explained the editors of the Swedish lifestyle magazine Din Teknik having had a first look at it. This may be due to ist hifi design which appears to be "more robust and exclusive" than one of the competitive designs.

Conclusion: The complete kit "is however really nice" and also "rarely pretty."

The front panel itself "sports a card reader," USB, headphones and FireWire connectors and "a docking station for an external 2.5 inch hard disk" which is "extremely handy for people who want to take away their data," according to the editors. A closer look also reveals that "the unit is equipped with two TV tuner cards," describes Din Teknik. "Wireless-LAN is also included inside the case," add the editors. Having switched on the Shuttle Media Center M 2000M, it ran "sufficiently quiet" under normal load.

The Shuttle Media Center M 2000M comes with a "wireless keyboard" featuring a trackball and mouse buttons. "Moreover, Shuttle also adds a highly exclusive remote control to the package," writes Din Teknik.
