Tom's Hardware Guide:

Tom's Hardware Guide: "Designer PC with a DIN A4 surface"

4.5 out of 5 stars! The verdict of the world wide acknowledged computer experts of Tom's Hardware Guide couldn't have been hardly better: "The XPC X100HA mainly convinced us with its design and layout. This little dwarf incorporates everything you need for working in the office."

"Shuttle as the market leader of SFF PCs continues to introduce models that become even smaller and more compact," announce the editors of Tom's Hardware Guide the Shuttle XPC mini X 100HA. But it's not only the size which is new: "Apart from a large variety of barebone computers, Shuttle now offers fully-configured SFF PCs that can be configured online." In order to compile individual solutions the Shuttle Systems Configurator (http://sys.eu.shuttle.com) needs to be used which includes the Shuttle XPC mini X 100HA. "The online configurator on the Shuttle web site enables you to choose components to meet your requirements," write the editors. This applies to RAM, hard disk and the processor.

"Notebook components work on the inside such as a mobile processor from Intel. Since these components mean lower heat dissipation than normal desktop processors, smaller fans are required which consequently reduce the noise level," explain the editors. The entire concept of this latest SFF PC is impressive that combines performance and attractive design. On the bottom line the X 100 received good ratings, with 95 per cent for design its highest score. For configuration, ergonomics and value for money it managed 85 per cent.

Conclusion:

"The new XPC X100HA from Shuttle clearly shows the market trends. Smaller and more elegant is how modern PCs show be like. This is realized by power-saving notebook technologies that becomes more and more accepted in the desktop segment. But it doesn't mean that performance falls by the wayside."
