"What’s only 5.3 cm tall and has a surface similar to an A4 sheet of paper?" The editors of the German website Web.de found the answer, clearly stating: The Shuttle mini X 100!
Compact dimensions, stylish design, good configuration: "The X 100 is convincing," conclude the editors.
"The latest addition to the Shuttle family is wrapped in sleek and elegant design," describe the editors of the German website Web.de the Shuttle XPC mini X 100. Dressed in a stylish black chassis showing the XPC logo it provides convincing visual appeal that helps it find its place in offices or in the living room at home. The compact dimensions of the unit show to advantage when placing it on the desk. In order to save even more room, it can either sit flat or also be placed vertically on the desk "thanks to the included stand."
"What’s looking good from the outside, has also a lot to offer on the inside," write the editors. The Shuttle mini X 100 is loaded with latest components revealed the editors after a closer look under the hood. Users are free to choose between a Celeron-M-420-processor or an Intel Core Duo with 1.6 GHz. Part of the standard configuration are the 512 MB of RAM which can easily be upgraded to 2 Gigabytes. Various hard disks are available with different capacities "from 80GB up to huge 400GB." Graphics performance is delivered by the ATI Mobility Radeon X1400 engine. Furthermore, any necessary connectors such as USB 2.0, DVI and TV, Gigabit LAN for 1000 Mbit/s and a CD/DVD combo drive are available. In the high end configuration (Shuttle XPC mini X 100 HA) the combo drive is replaced by a dual layer DVD writer.
Shuttle hit the bull's eye once more: "Thanks to its attractive looks the PC has to be placed on the desk not somewhere down below."
Conclusion:
"Whether in the office or on the desk at home the X 100 cuts a fine figure. The solidly performing PC convinced us in practice and managed its tasks without any problems and quietly."
