Gamers.at: "The fastest compact PCsystem"

"Apart from the compact dimensions, it was the interior of the Shuttle PC that surprised us," cited the editors of the Austrian gaming website Gamers.at the Shuttle XPC P 2500G. No wonder that, as the package includes: AMD Athlon 64 FX-60 processor, two Gigabytes of TakeMS memory, ATI's Radeon X1900 XTX graphic card from Connect 3D, Samsung's 250 Gigabyte hard disk and Shuttle's Dual-Layer DVD-writer.

"Thanks to its small dimensions, the Shuttle XPC P 2500G is the ideal compagnion for the next LAN-party," assure the editors. But this SFF PC isn’t only interesting for professional gamers: "Even amateurs can get started very quickly. Coloured ports for mouse, keyboard and monitor help the users to connect peripherals."

Apart from connectivity, its design impressed the editors as well: "We really liked the looks of this box and who already owns a stylish designer TFT will surely enjoy this power cube even a bit more." Looks and configuration are fine. But how about performance? "The unit passed our Gamers.at endurance test without crashes or heat issues," while scoring in benchmarktests, too: "The Shuttle XPC P 2500G probably is the fastest compact PCsystem we have had in our test lab yet."

Conclusion:

"It's extremely fast, runs stable and features compact dimensions."

Pros:

  • Extremely fast
  • High end hardware packed in a small case
  • Easy set up and handling, very compact
  • Good configuration, high connectivity
