Datormagazin: "Turbocharger packed in smallest dimensions"
"Extremely fast, small with stylish case," conclude the editors of the Swedish Datormagazin. What else than the Shuttle XPC P 2500G could they be talking about? Loaded with high-end components and impressive performance, the editors certify Shuttle to "have done an excellent job."
"When you consider the small case it's hard to imagine how Shuttle managed to fit in even an ATI Radeon X1900XTX graphics card in there," noticed the editors of Datormagazin astonished. Apart from this beast of graphics card there was a lot more of latest technology the editors discovered: AMD Athlon 64 FX-60 processor, 2 GBs of TakeMS RAM, a large 250 GB hard disk from Samsung, the CR40 dual layer DVD writer from Shuttle and the integrated 8-in-1 card reader are housed in this small cube.
No wonder that the editors couldn't wait to put the Shuttle XPC P 2500G to the test and it did very well! With 273 points in Sysmark 2004 SE benchmark the Shuttle XPC P 2500G scored "an absolutely impressive result." But this wasn't all the P 2500G had to endure. The 3Dmark05 benchmark test was finished with 541 points "you simply can't complain about," described the editors the performance. To sum it up, "the tests proved that is machine won't have any problems managing latest games," cited the editors. Since high performance always requires an efficient cooling, Shuttle "shows up with a well-thought out concept." Having a closer look at the chassis reveals that "the case was subdivided into different cooling zones for processor, graphics card and hard disk." As the editors flipped the case the discovered "cooling on the bottom of the PC."
Conclusion:
"Shuttle have done an excellent job with the Shuttle XPC P 2500G."
Pros:
- Extremely fast
- Small
- Stylish case
Overall: "Recommendation for everyone who want a fast SFF PC."
