PC Games Hardware: "Compact SFF PC with good gaming performance"
"With its compact dimensions the Shuttle XPC P 2500G is the ideal companion for LAN-parties." LAN-parties require nothing but performance, that’s no secret. In order to find out they had a closer look at this high-end PC - the Shuttle XPC P 2500G. With an overall rating of 2.14 the editors were especially impressed by its low noise level – apart from high performance.
"This configuration delivers good to very good gaming performance," explain the testers. No surprise then, since it has all fast technology on board: AMD Athlon 64 FX-60 processor, two Gigabytes of TakeMS memory, ATI’s Radeon X1900 XTX graphics card from Connect 3D, 250 Gigabyte hard disk from Samsung and the Shuttle CR40 dual layer DVD writer. From its high performance on the one hand, one might think of noisy operation on the other hand, but: "Despite its small case, Shuttle managed to set up a PC that keeps the noise level pleasantly quiet. In 2D operation the SFF PC is nearly inaudible reaching 1.4 Sone only. In 3D operation it went up 2.9 Sone which is audible, but not annoying."
