This solution for media center will be on the shelves this year for 1.899 Euros. „But you’ll get a lot of hot features – great flexibility. The M1000 is a fully-configured PC of high value that runs most of the latest games (and of course office software).
Its hifi format helps the M1000 integrate seamlessly into the living room, as the editors of the German news website Focus Online assure: „It looks excellent.“ Apart from design and performance aspects a Media Center PC has to be easy to operate which requirements the M1000 definitely meets. „Shuttle includes a wireless keyboard that brings you in control of your M1000 right from your sofa.“ Adding the Microsoft Windows Media Center software to the package the M1000 is to replace all of your standard devices in the living room becoming your „versatile video recorder,“ as „it meets all the requirements, for example it comes with two TV tuner cards.“
Whenever a PC is about to conquer the living room, high connectivity is the thing that matters, as it should replace any standard devices in the living room like DVD and CD player, video recorder and even the DVD recorder. In order to shelve the devices mentioned, it comes up with some very special features: „Its connectivity is sheer impressive: it provides space for an additional hard disk (a case is included in delivery) and on the left of the front panel the card reader read the photos of you digital camera. For easy access, the front panel features the most important connectors, while the rear side goes really wild. 7.1 channel sound, various video connectors at their best (for components, VGA, DVI...) antenna even wireless LAN is already integrated.“
Conclusion:
„This PC comes really close to my idea of a Media Center PC. To me the most striking thing was that I haven’t to do without the full PC performance, while the noise level remains low. No need for a second PC then.“
