Computeractive: "A small and desirable PC with plenty of power for most tasks"
 The SG31G2 is a "capable computer for a home office or study," conclude the editors of the leading British IT magazine Computeractive. The computer system which was assembled by Ambros Direct "always remained quiet and cool" in the tests. Considered its "compact size," the SG31G2 even qualifies "to go into a living room or bedroom."
"Shuttle specialises in small PCs, but even so, the SG31G2 is one of its smaller designs, standing just 18,5 cm tall and 20 cm wide," explain the editors of the British computer magazine Computeractive. The "attractive, all-aluminium case" comes along with a "striking selection of buttons, some of which glow blue, and two easy-to-access USB ports and a Firewire connection" on the front panel, describe the editors the looks of the PC. The basis of this complete mini PC is the Shuttle XPC Barebone SG31G2.
Besides audio connections (stereo and surround) that are "provided front and back respectively," the SG31G2 sports an extra DVI port connecting it to up to two screens. Ambros Direct, Shuttle reseller and Systems Partner, fits in 1GB of memory, a 160GB hard disk, Windows Vista Business operating system and an Intel Core 2 Duo E4400 processor providing speed which is "more than enough for internet and office tasks as well as processing home videos, photos and music," writes Computeractive. The system's 250W power supply is "fit for purpose, always remaining quiet and cool."
