The latest addition to the XPC familiy is the Shuttle XPC Barebone SD39P2 which, "with gamers in mind," is built around the Intel 975X chipset and boasts capacity for up to 8GB of RAM. Moreover, "it can take all of Intel's fastest processors, including its latest and greatest quad core processor, the QX6700," points out PC World.

Connection-wise, the editors found "a plethora of ports sit on the back, including six USB, 7.1 sound output, SPDIF in/out, Ethernet, Firewire 400, Sata external. A further two USB ports and Firewire connection sit behind a hinge on the front."
