PC Pro: "Recommended Product"

The Shuttle XPC Barebone SD37P2 "offers immense flexibility and decent value for money," conclude the editors of the British computer magazine PC Pro. Being the first SFF PC for Intel's Core 2 Duo processors, the SD37P2 "snatches back the performance crown" and earns a "well-deserved Recommended Award."

Assembling barebones "can take a stupendous amount of time," write the editors of the popular British computer magazine PC Pro. Unlike their experiences, Shuttle XPC Barebones are different and "go from barebones systems to fully-fledged systems under an hour thanks to some ingenious design."

So works the Shuttle XPC Barebone SD37P2 that can take up three hard drives and "even installing the CPU is hassle-free." Despite being capable of managing state-of-the-art components and latest technologies such as CrossFire mode, the box stayed "reasonable quiet," state the editors. Apart from its "stealth black exterior" and "great internal design" the IT experts from PC Pro discovered more aspects to praise.

The small dimensions of Shuttle's advanced P2 case design "doesn’t stop the chassis from offering all the usual desktop options." High connectivity came to light, when the editors turned the unit round. "Six USB ports are on the rear, with another two on the front and both mini- and full-sized FireWire. There’s also an eSATA port," found the editors also adding "eight-channel audio is available via 3.5mm jacks, with coaxial and optical S/PDIF ports, as well as an optical S/PDIF-in port."

Even in times of AM2 and Intel Core 2 Duo processors Shuttle's long-lasting experience becomes obvious, since the editorsreceived what they had expected: "Unfussy, well thought-through and with a very high level of attention to detail," say the editors.

Considering the "sheer level of convenience" offered, and the "high quality of what you’re getting, the price tag isn’t unreasonable."

Conclusion:

The Shuttle XPC Barebone SD37P2 "offers immense flexibility and decent value for money."
