Freenet.de: "Dressed in black"

Media Center PCs become more and more popular due to the fact that they don’t have anything in common anymore with these big grey boxes. A good reason for the editors of the German website Freenet.de to test various HTPCs. In the test field: the Shuttle Media Center M1000. "The little one dressed in black" drew all their attention.

"In a black piano finish with silver accents it is a true beauty in the living room," stated the editors of Freenet. But the Shuttle Media Center M1000 offers a lot more. Especially its low noise level convinced the editors. It doesn’t feature any "noisy fans." Moreover, the Shuttle Media Center M1000 is built around a Pentium M processor like it is used in notebooks which is powerful without emitting a lot of heat.

Compared to other HTPCs the Shuttle Media Center M1000 knows how to set the standards. Offering "high connectivity in every respect" the Shuttle Media Center M1000 was the only one to provide "an output that supports HDTV up to 1080i."

Conclusion:

"This elegant Media Center is characterized by high build quality, feature-rich connectivity and looks just great in every hifi rack."
