Hardwareluxx: Serious alternative to a desktop AM2 system
The first AM2 processors from AMD are now available. This is why the German hardware magazine Hardwareluxx recently tested current mainboards for this socket type. As an "hors concours" competitor, the Shuttle XPC Barebone SN27P2, as the first SFF PC for AMD AM2 processors, joined the round up. And it could easily keep up with conventional big PCs: "The Shuttle SN27P2 is a serious alternative to a conventional desktop AM2 system."
"The Shuttle XPC Barebone SN27P2 is a special participant," believe the editors, since the barebone features in addition to the mainboard a power supply, heatpipe cooling and a case. And this barebone has a lot to offer: support for AM2 processors, maximum capacity of 8GB RAM, ten USB 2.0 ports, room for up to three hard disks, optical drive and a lot more.
Conclusion:
"The Shuttle SN27P2 is a serious alternative to a conventional desktop AM2 system."
