Hexus.net: "A gaming system that’s scarily powerful"

"It is the best Shuttle has ever designed thus far!" The reviewers of the British website Hexus.net were enthused by the Shuttle XPC P 2500G. The result: "It looks great and performs well."

As the reviewers took at closer look under the hood they were surprised how powerful the components included in this beast are: AMD Athlon FX-60 processor, 2 GB of TakeMS RAM, ATI's Radeon X1900 XTX graphics card by Connect 3D, 250 GB hard disk by Samsung and a dual layer dvd writer by Shuttle. All packed in a case "not much larger than a shoebox."

They were just about to reboot their test unit, as they noticed how quiet this system is. Being loaded with all these high end components you might have expected a sound like a twister from the Shuttle XPC P 2500G. But the opposite is the fact making the editors assure: "top marks to Shuttle for engineering a quiet system that’s also powerful."

Performancewise, no surprise then that the benchmark tests were no problems for this shoebox-sized monster: "The supplied Radeon X1900 XTX 512MB graphics card ran through our [..] benchmarks with flying colours and the AMD Athlon FX-60 made short work of our dual-core tests."

Conclusion:

"It should be clear for you that we like the power, portability and chicness present in this pre-built SN25P:"

Pros:

  • Performs well
  • looks great
  • a good move
