PC PowerPlay: "Performance Award"

"At first sight the P 2500G didn't really look like a high performance winner," believed the editors of the German gaming magazine PC PowerPlay. But this was just the editors' first impression. After having taken a closer look at this unit, the editors discovered its real powers: "There's huge performance behind this small and stylish case," wrote the editors. The reason for it can be explained by the state-of-the-art components the Shuttle XPC P 2500G showed up with. AMD Athlon 64 FX-60 processor, 2GBs of TakeMS memory, ATI's Radeon X1900 XTX graphics card from Connect 3D, a 250 GB hard disk from Samsung and the CR40 dual layer DVD writer from Shuttle complete the "power package."

After having performed the first benchmark test, the editors immediately changed their minds when they said: "Demanding applications like Oblivion or Spellforce 2 ran fluently at a resolution of 1.280x1.024." But even when it comes to comfortably accessing all important connectors the Shuttle XPC P 2500G doesn't lack: "We found two USB ports, FireWire and sound interfaces as well as a multi format card reader right in the front." Additionally, the Shuttle unit provides more connectors on the rear side and a dual layer DVD writer. The editors were furthermore impressed by an uncomplicated start up. "The latest drivers were already pre-installed, Windows XP was ready after just a few minutes." As an overall rating the editors awarded the Shuttle XPC P 2500G the "Performance Award."

Conclusion:

"Massive luxury and extremely fast SFF PC with good configuration."
