"Apart from stylish design and room saving size the fact that it’s very easy to carry is probably the main advantage when buying a mini barebone," explain the editors of the German SFF PC community Barebonecenter.de. Intially they determined the "payload" of both accessories. Both carrying bag and backpack could be feeded with a barebone, keyboard, mouse, two cables for barebone and monitor, a network cable, multi socket and a head set – not problem at all. "The room that is offered in the backpack is quite generous. The little cube can easily be fixed via a velcro fastener."
Let’s not forget about the "good workmanship" that was very striking and while carrying it, it was "quite convenient even if the load was very heavy," added the editors.
Are the Shuttle XPC Accessory PF30 and PF60 waterproof? This is what the editors were about to find out, when the accessories got hosed down with water. But it wasn’t only "splashes of water" as the editors admitted: "We know that the definition "splashes of water" doesn’t really fit for what we’ve done, but it shows the kind of quality the bag is made of, as its interior stays as dry as before."
Conclusion:
"On balance, both products are highly recommended. There’s probably no better transport solution around to travel with a barebone. It’s now up to the buyer’s taste, if the choice is either made for backpack or the carrying bag."
