PC Live: "Editor's Choice!"
 A media centre PC that "wows all" is what the editors of the Irish IT magazine PC Live recently had the chance to take a closer look at. "Sleek looks and performance" convinced the editors most so that the Shuttle XPC mini X 100HA even scored four stars and also won the "Editor's Choice" award.
"This media centre PC has a wide appeal," noticed the editors right from the start. It connects "to your television and from there [you can] surf the net, play DVDs, and whatever else you would want to do on either television or PC," describe the editors what the Shuttle XPC mini X 100HA was designed for. Standing "2in high by just shy of 12in deep," it wouldn't "look out of place slotted next to a Playstation 3." The "attractive system" comes with a front-slot loading DVD burner, Intel Core Duo processor, upgradable 512MB of RAM and a varied connectivity with a number of USB 2.0, FireWire and S-Video outputs.
On the inside sits a 3,5in standard hard disk with an "impressive 250 gig storage capacity," the editors describe. "This gives the X 100 a lot more room for files," they add. Performance-wise, the Shuttle XPC mini X 100HA "is also a gamer-friendly machine." This because it boasts the built-in graphics engine ATI Mobility Radeon X1400 which "lets the system play 3D games, while supporting many features of Windows Vista," ensure the editors.
To put it in a nutshell, the Shuttle XPC mini X 100HA "is ideal for anyone seeking a small PC that can later be upgraded, rather than having to replace the whole thing," PC Live concludes.
