Computer Shopper: "Compact and quiet"

"The Shuttle mini X200M is compact and quiet, comparatively easily to upgrade, and comes with some useful extras," writes the British computer magazine Computer Shopper about Shuttle's tiniest complete media centre PC introduced to date.

"The smallest mini PCs tend to use slim 2.5in notebook hard disks," report the editors of Computer Shopper. The Shuttle XPC mini X 200 however is different and "has room for a 300GB 3.5in hard disk." Good enough to "have plenty of room for storing episodes of your favourite TV shows, which you can record using the built-in TV tuner."

Conclusion: "The Shuttle mini X 200M is compact and quiet, comparatively easily to upgrade, and comes with some useful extras."

As the Shuttle XPC mini X 200 banks on standard hard disks, "replacing it is much easier than with other compact PCs," believe the editors. Performance-wise, the Shuttle XPC mini X 200 configured as tested with an Intel Core Duo 1.6 GHz and 1GB of RAM "attained respectable scores in our video-editing and multiple-applications test," according to Computer Shopper which makes it "suitable for use as a general-purpose computer or a media centre PC," the editors continue.

In addition to the inner musings the editors also discovered "other useful extras such as built-in wireless networking for connecting to your wireless router."
