"Media Center PCs are like salmon" announce the editors of Stuff, a British Lifestyle Magazine. What might sound rather strange at first is nevertheless very fitting for the Shuttle XPC System G5 8300M. While salmons force "bravely their way upstream," Media PCs stand "against the strong current of public opinion that goes against them. ... Only the leanest and the fittest reach the spawning pools," declares “Stuff” and adds that "even then only the luckiest of the leanest don’t get scooped out of the water by a grizzly bear, or a PC reviewer, as we know them better." With a "determined look in their eyes" only the toughest arrive at their destination. While the editors concede that it is not easy for a salmon, to have a determined look in their eyes ("have you ever seen a fish look determined?") they nevertheless have faith in Shuttle's "salmon," the XPC System G5 8300M, which, they write, is "small, attractive and packed to the gills with features."
Conclusion:
"Yes, we think this salmon is going to make it."
