Theodore Ernest (Ernie) Els

Theodore Ernest (Ernie) Els (born October 17, 1969 in Johannesburg, South Africa) has been one of the top professional golfers in the world since the mid 1990s.

He is dubbed „The Big Easy“, due to his fluid, seemingly effortless golf swing and also for his imposing physical stature. His almost unemotional style of playing lets him appear like he’s ignoring his opponents on a tournament. He was beaten in 2004 with only one stroke by Phil Mickelson. While Phil was putting for the victory, Ernie relaxingly enjoyed eating an apple. But don’t call Ernie insensitive, since he loves his family life with his wife and a daughter. Of course, he likes being catched smiling by TV cameras as well.
