Jim Furyk

Jim Furyk (* born May 12 1970 in West Chester, USA) learned the game of golf from his father. He used to play basketball when he quit in 1988 and decided to play golf.

Just four years later he became a professional golfer managing at least one win on the PGA-Tour between 1998 and 2003. Those days he was considered to be the best golfer after Tiger Woods. Due to a cartilage injury he was absent for three months in 2004. After he had fallen out of the Top 100 of the Money List, he fought and had his come back in the Top Ten in 2005. The only instructor he has ever used is his dad, Mike Furyk, which may account for his unusual swing: “My father was the only coach I ever had.”
