PGA Championship

The first US-PGA-Championship was played in 1916 at „Siwanoy Country Club,“ Bronxville, New York. The annual tournament is to be played at a large number of venues over the years. The first winner of the „PGA-Championship“ was Jim Barnes in 1916 receiving $500 (US). The „PGA Championship,” as one of the four Major Championships in men’s golf, is traditionally held in August every year. Only professional golfers are allowed to enter this tournament.
