 As the second oldest golf tournament in the world the „US Open“ feature Horace Rawlins as its very first winner on October 4, 1895. This tournament is played on different venues each year in July. The first course on Rawlins’ win was a nine-hole course in Newport, Rhode Island. The „US Open,“ as an open tournament, allows participation of amateurs. Anyone who successfully played a qualification tournament and the last ten years’ winners can enter the „US Open.“ Just like the other Majors’ winners of the last five years, the Top30 of the Money List and the US amateur champion.
