2004-11-18 - PC Direkt: "Suitable for demanding 3D games"

More and more developers are using PCI-Express slots for their desktops. It is foreseeable that PCI-Express will replace the older AGP and PCI standards on the market. The new technology allows for faster connections between the used hardware components. Editors of the German computer magazine PC Direkt tested the Shuttle XPC System Solution P 8100G.

Result

"The Small Form Factor (SFF) of Shuttle is also appropriate for superior 3D games. In addition to the 3,4 GHz CPU, the barebone includes a 256-MByte-Radeon X800XT graphics. For RAM Shuttle uses the older DDR-RAM. The 1024 MByte are not for later computers, but support the PC with enough power. A 260-GByte hard drive and a dual-layer-DVDRW are also included."
