"You really can't go wrong with the Shuttle CR40, plus it comes in a variety of colors," write the editors the new Shuttle DVD-writer. The British computer magazine "PC Answers" reviewed the Shuttle CR40, calling it a "good performer." Shuttle manages to solve the problem of finding a drive that matches the design of its computers. In terms of performance, the dual-layer writer could also impress the editors. A 4x writing speed helped the "good performer" to write a full 6.5GB DVD in just 20 minutes. It also "worked perfectly" in several different drives. "It is a fast drive that writes to both of the major DVD formats as well as dual-layer DVD +R discs." Apart from performance aspects and looks, "the best thing about the drive is its price." Though the prices for such drives have decreased since last year, the CR40 is offered at an "amazing price."
Conclusion:
Whether you are a Shuttle XPC owner or not due to the "excellent value for money" this DVD-writer should "seriously be considered", if you're planning to buy a new one.
