 Finally there! A new case for chief ghost hunter, Edward Carnby, in the new, fifth part of the Alone in the Dark series. On 20 June the new survival horror adventure will be released by ATARI. As a result, it includes unbelievably impressive new graphics, many other technical innovations and the tingling, scare factor is higher than ever before. In order to perfect the game’s atmosphere during play, Shuttle is giving away a Shuttle XPC complete system in an exclusive "Alone in the Dark" design. This world exclusive special edition, produced for this purpose, is a one-off.
This time the new action packed adventure plays in the heart of Manhattan. More precisely, in Central Park. Because a secret is hidden there, wreathed in dangers of both the human and supernatural kind. The player, in the role of the famous Edward Carnby, must uncover the secrets in Central Park in one night and find out what is happening to him and the city. The player will go through another huge and above all creepy horror adventure.
In order to make the atmosphere even more realistic, not only are the buildings and the park modeled on original plans, but some characteristics of the TV series 24 and Lost have been drawn upon to successfully provide the game real story depth. Lastly, the game’s new 3D engine creates an unbelievably realistic atmosphere and offers new player functions. Nearly every object can be used, operated or destroyed in real time. Laid fires can spread to other objects and become an uncontrollable danger. The player can independently use vehicles to drive anywhere.
 It will likewise be possible to switch to ego perspective. This lets you, for example, squint your eyes in order to better and faster recognize opponents and objects at a distance.
To mark the release of the new title, Shuttle, in co-operation with ATARI, is running a great competition. Up for grabs is a Shuttle XPC in exclusive Alone in the Dark design, which more than caters for the game’s system requirements. In addition, there is also of course the Alone in the Dark game.
