2005-03-23 - WCM: "Extremely fast response time"
Who is Shuttle targeting with the XP17 TempAR TFT? It's already clear to the editors of the Austrian computer magazine: Gamers. "It is robust, can take a beating, and could even deal with spilled coffee at a LAN-party. It is also easy to carry thanks to the integrated handle." Shuttle brings the ideal solution along for "gamers who love to travel from LAN-party to LAN-party."
Fast response time - this is what gamers of demanding 3D-shooter games need. The editors of the Austrian computer magazine "WCM" tried to find out if Shuttle's new display is able to meet the requirements of LAN-party gamers. The Shuttle XP17 TempAR TFT-Display now features an improved glass panel covering a monitor with "extremely fast 8ms response time." People love to take it with them to LAN-parties, because of its anti-reflective coating. The tempered glass panel with a hardness rating of 8 can "easily handle most shocks." The editors also praised the development by Shuttle: "Shuttle has gotten used to continuous work and development by its nearly endless barebone systems." The result of testing the Shuttle XP17 TempAR TFT was very impressive: "it is robust, can take a beating, and could even deal with spilled coffee at a LAN-party. It is also easy to carry thanks to the integrated handle." Of course, a well done TFT-display mustn't lack in resolution. This one features a "high resolution" of 1280x1024 pixels. Well then, is the Shuttle TFT ready for gaming? The editors come to a clear verdict: "It showed no streaks at all and videos, games and scrolling ran fluently."
Pros:
- robust
- fast
- high resolution
