Barebones have often overheat-problems due to their small case and the hardware installation is pretty tricky - completely different with Shuttle's XPC SK83G! This power dwarf is based on Athlon 64 and thanks to its heatpipe cooling it runs stable and silent night by night. It consists of a good combination of devices and delivers full performance for the next generation of games. (...) During the test we had no problems with the installation of AGP cards like Radeon up to X800 XT and Geforce up to 5900 Ultra. (...) The PCI slot can be used at the same time and is located in that way, that even a long Audigy-2-soundcard feels good inside. (...) The low noise heatpipe works reliable and is can efficiently bring out the heat out of the case. (...) During the test the SK83G convinces with low noise and high performance.
Opinion of the editor: "Elegant gaming dwarf" More flexible than every notebook, more compact than every desktop: with the SK83G and carefully selected components you can play every game fluently, and it is well possible to upgrade later. (...) Even together with a TFT display this nice dwarf is still lighter than my own PC at home. Those should buy it, who often go to LAN parties or is tired of his bulky desktop PC. (...)
