Buying a new computer is not always easy. This is why the editors of the British hardware website CDRinfo.com were also taking innovative small form factor PCs into consideration and got struck by the Shuttle XPC Barebone SD32G2. Having had a closer look at it, this small cube convinced its reviewers with "good build quality", "clean layout" and "generally good performance." Proving to be "a good companion for many years," the Shuttle XPC Barebone SD32G2 was cited "recommended product."

"Well packaged and secure," the reviews unit arrived at the test labs of the British hardware and news website CDRinfo.com. Their first impression of the Shuttle XPC Barebone SD32G2 was just positive. "The overall quality is good. The box feels solid and the brushed silver aluminium has a nice finish and overall look," the testers pointed out from its looks.

Conclusion: "Shuttle's SD32G2 is a good proposal for entry level users looking for a SFF system. While it is not the fastest solution, it can serve you well for everyday use and it doesn't produce any noise. You can start building a SFF PC that can prove to be a good companion for many years. From our point of view, it is a recommended product."

The Shuttle XPC Barebone SD32G2 was designed for everyday computing needs in the home environment. Banking on Intel technologies, it is built around the Intel 945G chipset and includes "bargain integrated graphics and 7.1 channel audio, and a full back panel of the latest industry standard interfaces (PCI E, USB 2.0, FireWire 400 and Ethernet LAN)," according to CDRinfo.com
Peaking inside the case which was "very easy" to open, the SD32G2 reveals room for up to two hard disks and an optical drive.

The installation of components such as latest Intel Core 2 Duo processors and PCI-E graphics cards, won't be a problem too, as "the internal space is tidy." The testers where impressed: "The chassis finds the optimal balance between small size and upgradeability, while still offering exceptional performance and functionality."
With that in mind, "it is easy to see why the latest G2 chassis XPC is set to become the next best-seller," states CDRinfo.com.
