Computer Shopper: "Best Buy Award"

Various kit PCs had the editors of the British computer magazine Computer Shopper in the labs for a round up of office, media and gaming PCs. Shuttle scored twice in a row surpassing the competition with two "great value and "easy to build" chassis which won Computer Shopper's "Best Buy Award."

"Shuttle's SS21T in an usual system," notice the editors having just unpacked the Shuttle T-Series Barebone SS21T. Being the first Shuttle barebones system in nanoBTX format, the SS21T is still "shorter than a standard PC mini tower and is around the same width."

Conclusion: "If you need a small PC for home or office work, Shuttle's SS21T is the one to pick. It's great value, easy to build and has plenty of room inside for expansion. It wins our Best Buy award."

The Shuttle T-Series SS21T spares space for two optical drives and two hard disks, and given the fact it is less deep, "it'll take up less room on or under your desk," describe the editors. Flip-down panels "cover the optical drives perfectly."

Its "basic specification" indicates the target group. It is "well suited as an office PC," according to Computer Shopper. But when fitted with an additional graphics card, the Shuttle T-Series Barebone SS21T managed 3D games such as Call of Duty at 26fps. The SS21T was "marginally the fastest socket-AM2 system in our application benchmarks," state the editors.

  • Good value
