FiringSquad: "Score: 89 %"
The editors of the American hardware web site FiringSquad recently had a closer look at the new Shuttle XPC Barebone SD37P2 clearly stating "this new XPC follows Shuttle's superior way of making SFFs. It is sleek on the outside, well organized and managed on the inside, and packs strong performance without a hitch."
The Shuttle XPC Barebone SD37P2 is the second model to ship in the new P2 chassis layout. "The SD37P2 combines Core 2 Duo (and Quad) support with ATI’s Crossfire graphics, which is a first for SFF," explain FiringSquad.Having taken off the case, this SFF PC presents itself with a tidy interior with "well-organised" DIMM slots. "The cables are cut to exact lengths, and are routed around the case with plastic hooks," continue the editors.
Moving on to performance, the Shuttle XPC Barebone SD37P2 manage to convince the editors at all, as the "crammed little motherboard matched the performance of full size boards."Also, the editors, "did not encounter any stability or compatibility issues either," write FiringSquad."Because of the powerful components in the small volume, heat is often a problem," the editors are aware. But the Shuttle XPC Barebone SD37P2 is "well laid out and neat interior allowed passive cooling on the chipsets and low speed fans greatly reduced noise."
