PC Professionell: Overall score: "Good"

"You can build an extremely fast and powerful PC based on the SN27P2 barebone," stated the editors of the German computer magazine PC Professionell after having tested the SFF PC. And its performance was rated "very good."

Shuttle was the first one to launch a barebone that takes "the new AM2 processors from AMD." The Shuttle XPC Barebone SN27P2 joined the product line and is equipped with the new Nvidia Nforce 570 Ultra chipset. Designed to serve as a high-end gaming rig, this SFF PC just longs for a PCI-Express-graphics-card. There is even enough room inside for a Geforce 7900GTX.

The three hard disks the Shuttle XPC Barebone SN27P2 is capable of taking of maximally, are fixed with screws to "guarantee stability." "Basically, you can install any kind of powerful components without fearing heat issues," explained the testers. In order to feed these components, the 400 Watt PSU is also strong enough making them conclude: "Very good" in terms of performance.

Conclusion:

"You can build a small, but also extremely fast SFF PC with the SN27P2 barebone."
