2004-12-03 - Barebonecenter: "Solid performance"
There are few differences on paper between the SB75G2 and its replacement, the SB77G5. Barebonecenter tested the cube and praised it with: "the SB75G5 delivers the high performance we had expected from it."
There are few differences on paper between the SB75G2 and its replacement, the SB77G5. Barebonecenter tested the cube and praised it with: "the SB75G5 delivers the high performance we had expected from it. The performance wasn't entirely unexpected, and its older chipset doesn't stop it from turning in an impressive performance. The interesting thing was how easy it was to reduce the voltage supplied to the Prescott processor, which resulted in low temperatures." The staff then had a closer look at the temperature and noise levels. "You can say that Shuttle learnt a lot. The new fan and the heatpipe are very positive developments for the noise levels", wrote the editors. "The test results should be, although we tested a prototype, be representative. Moreover, the SB77G5 is very stylish on a desktop and of very high quality."
PRO: + enormous capabilities to change the CPU's voltage level + good manufacturing + very stable + low noise + solid performance |
