"Who once has fallen in love with the compact barebones from Shuttle, but also needs the full gaming power will definitely be happy with the Shuttle XPC Barebone SN26P," explain the editors of the Austrian IT magazine Gamers.at. But what else is it that makes this SFF PC such an object of interest?

"Who once has fallen in love with the compact barebones from Shuttle, but also needs the full gaming power will definitely be happy with the Shuttle XPC Barebone SN26P," explain the editors of the Austrian IT magazine Gamers.at. But what else is it that makes this SFF PC such an object of interest?

Based on NVIDIAs advanced nForce4 SLI chipset the Shuttle XPC Barebone SN26P delivers excellent value in gaming power and full support for AMD socket 939 processors, SATA 3 Gb/s, RAID, GigaBit-LAN and firewall. And of course, two powerful NVIDIA 7800er graphics cards can be housed in without any problems in order to make the barebone run fast for maximum gaming pleasure.

As a pleasing fact the editors discovered that despite all these performance features the barebone doesn't turn up the volume. "First off we expected a massive noise level," explained the editors, but continued: "three different cooling areas keep it quiet, stable and reliable." Moreover, the Shuttle XPC Barebone SN26P doesn’t create annoying noises in operation, but a real pleasure to the ear, as "the Via Envy24PT soundchip delivers 7.1 channel sound" which did a "very good job" according to the editors.

Conclusion:

"The Shuttle XPC Barebone SN26P understates a lot, like many of its brothers do. But LAN-party fans will just love it, as its performace at a moderate noise level and compact dimensions is very high."

  • High performance
  • No thermal problems
  • Moderate noise level
