2005-11-02 - PC Magazine: The SD31P, the Rolls Royce of Small Form Factor (SFF) PCs
According to the French IT magazine PC Magazine, the Shuttle XPC Barebone SD31P is "a real solution for those who want to take advantage of dual core Pentium CPUs in a SFF PC."
When it comes to putting together this barebone XPC, the SD31P "offers impressively easy assembly." Once put to work the latest from Shuttle builds on its predecessors' reputation: "it features efficient temperature management: even in a room at more than 30 C the Shuttle never got loud or experienced problems." As far as performance is concerned, the result was just as clear: "the Shuttle keeps up with our reference full size motherboard using the same chipset, doing slightly better under PC Mark04, even compared to a PC based on the i955 chipset."
Conclusion:
Given that it excelled in all areas, it's no surprise that the editors concluded that the Shuttle XPC Barebone SD31P is the "Rolls Royce of SFF PCs."
